The Porsche Boxster - A Fabulous Two-Seater To Die For

A vehicle that was introduced to the world in 1996, that may be one of the best-handling production roadsters you can find anywhere, is the Porsche Boxster. This has been pretty much unchanged since the beginning, with only adjustments to the interior-options, and some moderate horsepower changes, but the Boxster is still a fast, powerful car. Porsche has a tendency to hold on to a car's look for many years when the particular model is a big hit.
A second-generation Boxster with even more power was launched in 2005 but remained consistent with Porsche's typical design structure. It looks like a Porsche Spyder, however just like its predecessor, it is a two-seater, with a mid-engine and six cylinders. In the new Boxster, you still see that in excess of 50% of the makeup and electronics are taken from the 911 Carrera. The 2005 has a lot more intensity than the 2004 version due to alterations of the torque and increased horsepower. The older car had been criticized for its cut-rate look, but the interior has become upgraded some since then. Using a changed gearshift, and paneling with a titanium look, the middle console has been improved. The latest Boxster has improved seating with increased quality body shape and support. The Boxster has a modest trunk in the rear of the car, and another, larger one under the front hood, so carrying luggage is not a problem. The Boxster is designed with a nice element in its powered convertible top which has the capability to rapidly open and shut at speeds close to 30 mph. The roof is weather-tight, and quiet with triple-layer padded cloth tops, and the rear window is heated-glass.
The Boxster is recognized as a mid-engine vehicle, because the six-cylinder engine is situated in front of the rear axle, and behind the seats. You will not find the engine under the hood because it is not really there. If you'd like to look at the engine, you are going to have to look from underneath. A more uniform weight distribution is a welcome benefit of the car's engine being located near the center of the car. That's the reason the Porshe Boxster manages so effectively.
