Rugs- designs

By Jenny Frunt

Rugs are available in different colours, styles and designs, and they are either designed in a modern way or in traditional style. Modern types are suitable for modern living styles and are used for homes, hotels, or offices. Traditional rugs are as in fashion as ever, because some people consider classic more exclusive. Some are just designed keeping in mind the market, like what kinds of styles are liked more.

To design modern designs of rugs, there are many methods, including abstract and linear designs. Floral types are also available but they are few. Several theme type designs are also made, including human images, in ideal way. They look awesome on a well constructed tiled or wooden floor, and can add to the beauty of the space.

Then there are shaggy and woollen types, which include sollus, arcadia, Dallas, vista, santa cruz, edge piazza. Some other styles are sierra apolo, agra twist, karma, Himalaya, Mandalay, tashen, rosses and pebble etc. They are all in fashion these days and are available in various stunning colours. Traditional style depends on the history of that particular country where it is designed.

Main ingredient that add more beauty to rugs are colours, which are red, yellow, blue, green, maroon, mauve, off-white and even black, white, and pink etc. sometimes an individual colour is available, whereas generally two or more colours are added especially in modern-day designs. They should be chosen keeping in mind the background of the room where it is going to be exhibited. Colour variety is fewer in woollen but more in modern style.

For the kids rugs are designed with both flowers and cartoons, and kids really love them. Largely primary colours are more used in these designs, as yellow, bright red, blue orange etc. Pink is also very common, both light and shocking pink, which is widely put-upon in girls rooms. So you will find a large collection for both kids and adults.

It is not difficult to find out the place where rugs are available, they are available either at separate showrooms, or at carpet shops, or even at many furniture shops. Some of the interior accessory shops also keep rugs for their customers. If you are buying furniture and find a rug piece there as well, then better go for it. It will make your choice easier, besides you can also ask an interior designer to make a selection. Many show rooms have in-house designers, who may help you in many ways including the rugs choice.
